My new job has me traveling on a weekly basis. I am usually taking a red-eye out west now and been trying to get some shut-eye will on the 5 hour flight. I don’t know about you but I have a LOT of trouble sleeping on a plane.
Well I noticed some people wearing headphones and was curious on how effective they were at blocking out the noise. So I asked a guy sitting in the row next to me if I could try out his Bose QuietComfort 15 noise cancelling headphones.
Words cannot describe what it was like when I put them on! It was like being in another world. And this world was quiet! I didn’t hear anything, no engines, no people talking.
Just blissful silence.
Well I didn’t want to give them back to the guy and I almost bought them from him on the spot. As soon as I got back to my hotel room that night I started doing research on Noise Cancelling Headphones. There are two types I found out, in ear and over ear. For me the over ear made more sense, they have a bit better noise cancelling and better playback of music.
I have Bose speakers at my house and they sound awesome. Since I had already tried the Bose Headphones for myself and heard them or rather what I didn’t hear pretty much made them a no-brainer for me.
Well after trying out quite a few, the Bose QuietComfort 15 were without a doubt the best. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. The sound of silence for me was worth every penny they cost me.
I now travel in silence and am able to sleep almost the whole flight. That my friend makes them a great investment.
